  After reading several reviews here, I don't think I walked into the same place as every one else. Yes the sale team greets you at the door and are nice and friendly. But what people are failing to post is, after they have you all excited about buying a home everyone responsibility and commitment becomes someone else. Clayton homes slaps your home together and expect you to go to closing with a home that still needs work so they can close on a sale. Its like walking into a brand new car lot and picking out a car, failing in love with it, and when the sales clerk drive it around so you can test drive it, you discover it has broken window and the sales clerk promising you it will be fixed after you buy it, sound crazy right. Being a veteran and a police officer, I have been lied to so many times by this office ,it hard to tell when the truth begins and the lies end. I started this process in June 2017 and I am still not in my home. I have been forced to sing paper work after paper work and the home clearly needs more work but they seem unwilling to do the work before we close. The old general manager Sam ups and quits one day, Krisit, the sales clerk acts like the truth can never hit her lips and she forgets the promises that she make and put everything off on Loretta, the site supervisor. They brought in a general manager from out of town who made all theses promises to me as well and was willing to give me credit for some of my out of pocket expenses I made, who all off a sudden took that promise off the table once I was inquiring about of much of a credit I would receive at closing and after closing my Better Business Bureau investigation. One thing for sure, this office will not get me to closing if the repairs are not done on this home so that it is move in ready, their move in ready is move in and we will make repairs within your 1yr warranty. Its funny that after I am refusing to go to closing because of the 2 repairs out of 20 I am requesting to be done before closing can't get done my warranty went from 1yr to 5yr according to the new GM they brought out of town to work with me. My best advise to anyone looking to buy a land and home packet keep going about 3miles up the street to a better company.
